Welcome to Kibuka Llull, a charming Japanese restaurant tucked away at Carrer de Llull, 155 in the vibrant Sant Marti neighborhood of Barcelona. This culinary gem has been making waves among food enthusiasts and casual diners alike, offering a delightful blend of atmosphere and service that is hard to resist. With a phone number of +34 935 22 21 92 for reservations, Kibuka Llull invites you to immerse yourself in a unique dining experience.
The first thing that strikes you upon arrival is the inviting ambiance. Many patrons describe Kibuka as a "little treasure trove," where the decor immediately transports you to Japan. Customers like Joshua Ayoade have praised it as a hidden gem, highlighting the authentic feel of the establishment. Add to that the warmth of the staff, and you understand why many diners, including Felix Savino, appreciate the attentive service that enhances the overall experience.
When it comes to the menu, the offerings are as diverse as they are flavorful. From delicious sushi, with many identifying it as “amazing,” to a range of traditional dishes, Kibuka Llull has something to satisfy every palate. The standout seems to be the shrimp tempura served with a unique duck egg sauce, noted for its culinary curiosity and flair. Diners have also enjoyed the ramen, described by Alekss Emsins as “full of flavor” though some felt it lacked a certain something.
However, while the ambiance and service receive high marks, some guests have pointed out that the menu's pricing might not always correlate with the dish quality. For those seeking an exceptional culinary adventure, some dishes may feel like they don’t quite hit the mark, with reviews indicating that the food, while good, may not always stand out as spectacular. Fernanda Orduna’s experience highlights the generous portions and the informative service provided by staff like Paula, which certainly adds to the charm, encouraging diners to return.
In summary, Kibuka Llull is a place where warmth, service, and atmosphere shine brightly, making it an ideal choice for those who value a welcoming environment. While the culinary offerings may not always match the high expectations set by the venue’s ambiance, the experience is enjoyable and worth a visit. Whether you're looking to savor sushi or explore authentic Japanese flavors, Kibuka Llull is ready to welcome you for a memorable dining experience. Just remember to keep your culinary expectations in check!
“ Was a great experience, Paula our server was very nice and explained everything, the food was very good and generous. Would come back any time ”
“ If you're on the hunt for a spot with a fantastic atmosphere and exceptional service, Kibuka is worth a visit. The waitstaff are incredibly attentive, ensuring that you have everything you need for a comfortable dining experience. That said, the food is a bit of a letdown, especially considering the price point. We sampled a variety of items, including the salmon sushi and Philadelphia cheese tempura. While these dishes were good, they didn't stand out as anything special. The shrimp tempura served with a unique duck egg sauce was a highlight, but even that couldn't make up for the overall lackluster culinary experience. In summary, Kibuka excels in creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent service but falls short in delivering a meal that matches the high cost. If ambiance and service are your top priorities, you'll enjoy your time here. Just keep your food expectations realistic. ”
“ The place looks amazing. Like a little treasure trove. The ramen was full of flavor, felt autentic, but something was missing. Not too pricey as well. 12 EUR for a full Ramen bowl. Definitely a place to return. ”
“ amazing sushi! the staff was really friendly and helpful. only downside that it was kinda pricey. ”
“ Kibuka Llull was more like a hidden gem, and I did not regret visiting it. It is a pure Japanese restaurant and I went for a simple meal. The brick pot was hot just like the Wasabi sauce, followed by a unique dessert. I will definitely visit again. ”
“ A nice Japanese restaurant on the east side of Barcelona. The Showa era decorations were very well done and made it appear like old school Japanese place. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered multiple dishes and all of them were good. The sushi tasted fresh. Overall a good place for dinner at a reasonable price. ”
“ I went there for the first time at lunchtime, and the restaurant was very dark, so I couldn't see the menu properly. There were an unusually large number of rolls on the menu, and very few nigiri sushi. I ordered nigiri, but the sashimi was stringy and difficult to chew. The tuna and salmon had no flavor at all, so I couldn't tell if I was eating sushi or sushi rice. I ordered tempura sushi rolls, but they were cold, probably because they used already-fried cold tempura for the rolls, and they didn't taste good at all. ”
“ Such a great sushi restaurant! We came here very early (6pm) on a Sunday night. No one was here but the food was delicious. Our server Adam was so kind and attentive! This was some of the best sushi I’ve had in Barcelona. ”
